When one thinks about Dimma it is always synonymous with the prominent famous Ethiopian orthodox Theological school where the peculiar church religious study advocate at Dimma Georgis (St. Georgis of Dimma). Dimma is also related with the famous Ethiopian classical modern novel written by Dr. Haddis Alemayew FEKER ESKE MEKABER translated to English LOVE UNTO CRYPT, which is the Ethiopian Seblewengle & Bezabih equivalent of Romeo & Juliet. Most of the novel plot and setting is in this popular place called Dimma, the author in his literature attempt to demonstrate the physical setting of the famous Dimma Giorgis church with the surrounding villages and the geographical background, the church of Dimma Giorgis situated on the center of a flat plain land encircled by traditional hut (Tikul) made of grass and mud which create an interesting hamlet. The opening ceremony of Dimma was held on January 16, 2011 in the presence of H.E.
