Nabaki Afrika has evolved from a husband and wife team in 1993 to family of nearly 100 people today. Tanzania is an emerging economy with a socialist history and is a challenging environment for any business. There is a large informal sector and low cost, poor quality merchandise dominates the market. The construction and mining industry are growing rapidly with banks now promoting mortgages and the number of new banking institutions is growing. Good growth in all the housing sectors is anticipated for years to come owing to Tanzania's long-term political stability. Today Nabaki Afrika is a market leader in the retail and wholesale supply of quality building products within Tanzania. This journey of two decades has taken a sustained financial and emotional effort and a commitment to sound business principles, ethical standards and integrity. Nabaki Afrika began with a 15 square metre office but now has a large Support Office (of 1,000 square metres) with 3,000 square metres of warehouse storage. There are three small strategic outlets and a growing network of over 200 distributors. Annual turnover began with less than $100,000 and has increased to a current turnover of over $12,000,000 per annum. Turnover increased by 35% during 2012. The product range started with 20 products and is now almost 3,000. Nabaki Afrika's achievement has been to excel in a difficult business environment. Our Vision to Grow Further It is our mandate to find the most effective route to the rapidly growing Tanzanian market for all our product lines. During 2012 Nabaki Afrika had over 100 visits from international suppliers so the company always has a rich choice of products from which to choose. The company has set itself the goal of doubling turnover in the next three years. To this end we have launched a unique program that will train and develop our internal team and our external local partners. The program is known as "Mtaalam' – the word means 'expert' in Kiswahili. Our company has an email database with over 26,000 contacts and we maintain regular customer contact with email newsletters and product updates. The third Nabaki Afrika outlet, opened in September 2012, is in the heart of Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam's prime trading area in the central business district. Kariakoo's passing trade includes visitors from countries like the DRC, Zambia,Northern Malawi and Mozambique. A new franchisee is now operating in Mtwara in southern Tanzania, the site of recent, vast natural gas finds. Nabaki Evolution & Marketing Nabaki Afrika has evolved into an efficient marketing, distribution and training company. We market and distribute carefully selected, high quality products and undertake to train local users and our key customers on product use, application or installation. We are in regular contact with our clients via email sending them new product information and other news. We provide them with technical information and answer their queries and requests. Mentor Shipping Agency (Pty) Ltd. was established in 1976 and became a fully independent company when purchased by Graham Jones, Mentor's Managing Director and Sole Shareholder, in 1993.    With this independence came the urge to give our Principals worldwide a secure home base for them to want to appoint Mentor Shipping as their Agents and therefore the reason for purchasing our own building aptly called "Mentor House" with our Head Office personnel moving in on the 1st November 1994.   Representing, as "Independent Agents", over 200 Principals from around the World, including numerous prominent Ship Owners, Traders, Charterers and Operators; Mentor Shipping Agency, Head Office, is situated in Durban, with offices in Richards Bay, Cape Town, East London, Port Elizabeth and Walvis Bay in Namibia. Our Services include the regular handling of Tankers, Liners, General and Project cargo, Container vessels, numerous Bulk cargoes and Breakbulk carriers, as well as Dry Docking vessels, vessels calling purely for Bunkers, Stores etc and also "Off Port Limits" service; though out our coastline.   The fact that Mentor Shipping has offices in all the major South African ports as well as Walvis Bay has proved to be very beneficial to our Ship Owners, Operators and Traders who feel that it is very important to be able to deal with just one Ships Agency when having to call at more than one S.A. Port and our requirement is that all communications to our Coastal Offices are routed through our Durban Head Office, which ensures that the Principal concerned only has to deal with one office and that our Head Office is kept fully advised throughout the vessels call/s.   Graham started in shipping in 1970, as a ships operator at the age of 20 years old, working for Freight Services. In 1977 he joined Combine Cargo, as the ships agency manager. Combine Cargo later became Combine Ocean and in 1980 Graham was promoted to assistant branch manager. In 1989 as the branch manager of Combine Ocean, Graham left to take over as the managing director of Mentor Shipping which at that time was part of the Devonia Shipping (Pty) Ltd Group.    In April 1993 he gained sole ownership of Mentor shipping and the company has be run as an independent ships agency since, under the sole ownership of Graham Jones. Graham's passion for the shipping industry and exceptional high standards of personalized service, has given him the reputation of being one of the top Ships Agents along the African coast line.    Darryl started working at Mentor Shipping in December 1994, as a ships operator. In 1999 he was promoted to operations manager and in 2003 took over the operations of the accounts department and overseeing the ships operations, which lead to his appointment as general manager in 2005. Darryl over the years has become involved in the promotion and marketing of Mentor Shipping, both locally and internationally, making visits to Mentors' numerous Principals worldwide.

Dairibord Holdings Limited is a manufacturer and marketer of quality milks, foods and beverage products. The company is listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE). DZPL is one of the largest manufacturing and marketing companies in Zimbabwe with 5 factories located in Harare, Chitungwiza and Chipinge. The Group results for the half year ending 30 June 2013 will reflect operational challenges encountered due to the plant and staff rationalisation projects, escalating costs and liquidity challenges in the market. The plant rationalisation project negatively affected product supply in the first quarter for Dairibord Zimbabwe (Private) Limited. The Board of Dairibord Holdings Limited made a decision to realize both the staff and plant rationalisation expenses in the first half of the year. As a result, profitability for the first half is expected to be lower than for the same period last year. Shareholders are therefore advised to exercise caution in dealing with their shares. The company transformed into a holding company with four subsidiaries – Dairibord Zimbabwe (Private) Limited, Lyons, Dairibord Malawi (Private) Limited and NFB Logistics (Private) Limited. The name of the holding company changed to Dairibord Holdings Limited (DHL) from Dairibord Zimbabwe Limited (DZL).
