A highly affordable, functional and durable vehicle, designed and built for the African market.Mobius Two omits many non-essential features while maintaining essential functionality. It has already been driven over 11,000 kilometres around Kenya on varied terrain and proved its rugged capability.Procuring critical systems from global suppliers allows Mobius to select the most cost-effective and proven systems for each aspect of vehicle functionality. Maintenance and repair costs are also minimised since these systems are physically easy to access in the vehicle, familiar to local mechanics, and spares are readily available in the local market. Fuel efficiency is achieved by combining an economical engine with a low vehicle weight.To further minimise costs, Mobius uses a simple but robust tubular steel frame. By eliminating the full body frames used in most vehicles, we are able to drastically reduce the production cost whilst still maintaining the core functionality of a car.Mobius Two is designed for driving on rough African roads. The body has a 23 cm ground clearance, rugged integrated skid plate and large tyres. This is combined with the power to weight ratio of a 4x4 for optimum off-road performance.Mobius Two is versatile. The body and suspension are capable of transporting large or heavy loads long distances. The rear fold-up seats can be configured for a total of six or eight persons; they are removable, leaving a flat cargo space comparable to a pickup truck. Mobius has a rear loading capacity of 625 kg.Lasting structural rigidity is ensured by the tubular steel chasis, which incorporates design elements of high perfomance and racing vehicles.Mobius uses proven components and is constructed so that parts can be easily serviced by mechanics. Repairs to the steel frame can be carried out using a simple welding procedure.
