From one small chemical importing company in a corner of Lagos - Nigeria in the early 80s, we have evolved into an international investments company with over 15 subsidiaries across multiple business verticals. Starting with one company in 1980, here is a timeline of how we have grown since inception: Cormart (Nigeria) Limited was established in Lagos, Nigeria. Since then, we’ve grown and welcomed new brands to our family. We have stayed true to our founder’s pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit and today, our span is diverse and international.

In Nigeria, activities of HFP Engineering (Nigeria) Limited in the areas of Civil engineering, construction and real estate hence have created a big impact to its clients. The Company has improved construction methods, which lead to lower costs, reduced project risks and shorter project life cycle. In the past we have constructed Office blocks, residential blocks, schools, hospitals and roads. In some cases we have offered turnkey mini-cities with all houses, roads, and other infrastructure. We are experts in the development of technolgies suitable for the provision of Value Added Services (VAS) on the Global Satellite Mobile (GSM) technology using the short massaging service (sms) platfrom. We are the sole Nigerian distributor to Falcom GSM Modems manufactured by Falcom Wireless communications (GMGH of Germany, the leading manufacturers of GSM Modems) .We are also the sole representives of Code Segment, Serbia and we provide services for sales of cell phones and accessories, computer sytems.

Yinka Folawiyo & Sons, the parent company of the Group, was founded in 1957 to develop import/export business between Nigeria and Europe and it was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company in 1967. Following a visit to East Europe in 1958 by the promoter of the Group, Alhaji Chief (Dr.) W. I. Folawiyo, CON, the company was the first to develop a thriving trade between East Europe and Nigeria. From importing cement and sugar successfully from U.S.S.R., Yinka Folawiyo & Sons Limited expanded the trade to Bulgaria and Romania purchasing large quantities of cement and construction materials. In 1982, the company entered the oil industry with the formation of  Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum, a leading indigenous E&P company in Nigeria. The company is currently operating the Aje field, the first oil?producing field in Lagos state. The group expanded its oil activities across the value chain with  Folawiyo Energy, owning and managing a world?class storage and distribution unit in Lagos. Enyo Retail & Supply completed the group's oil business bringing value with its marketing and trading capacities. Trading Operations These trading operations were further developed to include the importation of milk products, tinned and frozen fish, fertilizers and other essential commodities. As the volume of trade increased, Yinka Folawiyo & Sons became the first indigenous company to engage in sufficient bulk purchase to warrant chartering ships to service the trading operations. Until this time shipping operations to and from Nigeria had been monopolised by foreign companies. However, with the formation of Maritime Associated (International) Ltd. to carry out chartering, agency, clearing and forwarding activities, the Company was invited by the Nigerian Produce Marketing Company (NPMC) to apply to become a National carrier for Nigeria’s vitality important agricultural exports of cocoa, palm kernels and ground nuts. Of the thirty-five indigenous carriers existing in 1976, maritime Associates (International) Ltd is the only company still operating. As the Group’s chartering activities developed and demand for shipping space increased, Nigerian Green Lines was founded in 1972, as a ship owning and operating company. From the purchase of M.V. “Ahmadu Tijani” (10,826 tons dead-weight) in 1973, Nigerian Green Lines Ltd. blossomed in six short years to become the largest privately owned shipping West Africa with a fleet of six general cargo vessels totalling 87,807 tons dead-weight. Over the years, the Group has contributed to varying sectors such as Education, Health, Religion, Youth and Sports Development as well as Institutional and Social organisation both at home and abroad.
