ZB Financial Holdings Limited was incorporated in Zimbabwe in May 1989, as a holding company for a group of companies, which have been providing commercial and merchant banking and other financial services since 1951. The first operations of its subsidiaries began in 1951. By 1961, there were nine branches operating countrywide. In August that same year, the company was sold to the Netherlands Bank of Rhodesia and it maintained a steady growth through acquisitions of related companies as well as expansion of existing operations.  In 1972, the company changed its name from The Netherlands Bank of Rhodesia Limited to Rhodesia Banking Corporation Limited and then to Rhobank in 1979. It changed its name once again in 1981 to Zimbabwe Banking Corporation after the Government purchased the majority shareholding.    In 1989, the directors of the company undertook a restructuring exercise with the objective of bringing all subsidiaries and associates under one investment and holding company, Zimbabwe Financial Holdings Limited.   The restructuring allowed the Bank to concentrate exclusively on providing commercial banking services to the public. The new holding company was ideally placed to explore other profitable business activities, which were not previously possible because of restrictions placed on the investment activities of the Bank in terms of the Banking Act.  Banking Insurance Investment Loans Security Business Banking The acquisition of a number of subsidiaries over the years allowed the Group to offer a wide range of services which include commercial and merchant banking, hire purchase and leasing as well as trust and executor services.    On October 30 2006, the Group adopted a new monolithic brand and formally changed its name to ZB Financial Holdings Limited. This change was also meant to coincide with the merger with former Intermarket Holdings units, namely(Intermarket Bank, Intermarket Building Society, Intermarket Reinsurance, Intermarket Life and Intermarket Bank Zambia), which units have since adopted the ZB brand.    This effectively means ZB Financial Holdings is one of the most diversified financial services companies in the country.

FAWE is a pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation working in 32 African countries to empower girls and women through gender-responsive education. We believe that through education of women and girls, livelihoods are improved for entire communities and civic education and liberties are enhanced. We encourage our partners to enact policies and provide positive learning environments that treat girls and boys equally.    Our work influences government policy, builds public awareness, demonstrates best educational practice through effective models, and encourages the adoption of these models by governments and institutions of education. This has led to increased rates of girls enrolment, retention and completion of school in countries in which our National Chapters operate.    Through our work, girls and women across sub-Saharan Africa have the chance to attend school and overcome material deprivation and social and political exclusion.

The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a collaboration between the University of Washington and the University of California, San Francisco. It is a center in the University of Washington's Department of Global Health and has offices throughout Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.    I-TECH's 700 worldwide staff work in partnership with local ministries of health, universities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), medical facilities, and other organizations to support the development of a skilled health work force and well-organized national health delivery systems.    I-TECH's activities occur primarily in the following technical areas:   • Health system strengthening   • Health workforce development   • Operations research and evaluation   • Prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases

Since its establishment in March 1997, Sign industries has brought about a revolution in signs and allied products in Tanzania, and introduced several modern concepts in the field of contemporary signage to the nation. However, while we had abolished the stereotypes in signage, and were feeling justifiably proud of our success, the poignant reality was that technology had begun to replace talented artists and craftsmen who had inherited rich talents from their forefathers, and such artists were becoming an endangered species. As this scenario was developing and became inevitable, we decided to combat the sad situation in a positive way and thus embarked upon a training program to involve and absorb talented local craftsmen in using their skill in combination with technology, hence enabling them to keep them active and retain them in the mainstream of business, The result was overwhelmingly successful, and eventually facilitated sign industries growth to a position of dominant market-share. We also manifested and established a fact, that those who were intimidated by sophistication and shunned from jumping into the technology bandwagon would soon become obsolete. During the same period, we also became increasingly aware of the lack of neon lighting in our cities, without which our skyline appeared dull, colorless and static. The neon industry in Tanzania had closed down in about 1960 after the European tube-benders left the country just before independence. By mid-1997, we were studying the possibility of bringing the neon back, which had remained dormant for almost 35 years. There was no turning back! By November of the same year, Sign Industries had the first neon sign flashing on a rooftop. It was the dawn of a new brightness that would forever illuminate and change the general appearance of our cities and enhance our skyline. The rebirth of neon in Tanzania was a challenge as well as an opportunity, and our dream of being the leaders in matters of signage was becoming reality. As you look at our signs nationwide, we hope our dream is being realized before your own eyes, and we are eager to keep quality-appealing signs as part of our life style. We pledge our efforts to bring new products into the market place to better serve the needs of general signage. Sign industries thus created a new trend in corporate culture. It is indeed a matter of great pride in such a short time. Sign industries has become the recognized leader in its field, and has been awarded the nations most prestigious sign projects. The secret behind such success in dedication and the zeal to lead and remain ahead in the industry. We do not have competitors, as such, since we consider other sign makers as our colleagues sharing the same market, and we are proud to be able to extend help and advice to them, whenever asked for. Consultants and estate management, and extends beyond retail business-owners locally and up-country. Sign industries enjoys nationwide recognition supplying and installing signs all over the country, Our Sky marks have lent a brighter edge to our skylines and edifices, and our neon sign atop the PPF Tower is the highest and biggest sign from ground zero in the country. Today Sign Industries has been considered as an authority in terms of signage and our recognition has been so overwhelming, that national newspapers and reputed magazines have given us coverage and praised our products. "The builder" magazine have chosen products by sign industries in their cover page. We were also invited to give lectures and demonstration on signs and allied products at national level. Cheshire Services is an independent non-profit making organisation who provide orthopedic and social rehabilitation services for children and young people with disabilities in Ethiopia. The charity was founded in 1962 by British war hero Lord Geoffrey Leonard Cheshire, by invitation from Emperor Haile Selassie's grandchildren, with the intention of rehabilitating children with disabilities.  Over the years Cheshire Services has become afiliated with many international charities and continues to expand its operations treating a wider range of disabilities across the whole of Ethiopia.
