Manufacturing In 1992, GP first introduced injection-moulded "thin-wall" containers used for cooking fats. This new plastic packaging replaced the traditionally used tin containers, and marked a major shift from tin to plastic containers by the manufacturers of edible oils in the region. This was the first injection moulding process available in East Africa and GPL gained many customers who previously relied on tin containers. In 1996, GP pioneered the use of stretch blow moulding technology in East Africa, using food grade polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as a raw material. This process is used in the manufacture of packaging for food and chemical products such as mineral water bottles, and containers for the pharmaceuticals, juice and cosmetics industries. In early 1997, GPL bought out Vitaplast Ltd which had been started the previous year as a competitor to GP's packaging manufacturing business. Subsequently Vitapalst Ltd merged with General Plastics Ltd. We also produce a multiplicity of domestic ware such as plates,water jars,cups, food and water containers,bowls,  plastic hungers, buckets... that add value to the lives of our customers.   CONDUIT PIPES Multiple Industries offers the highest quality PVC and HDPE conduits, from 20mm to 160mm in size.Its light weight and ease of cutting makes it easy to install. PVC's strength,durability, and resistance to corrosion result in problem-free electrical systems.   A length of the conduit weighs only one fifth of galvanised steel conduit and one-half of the weight of aluminium. The conduit cuts easily with a sharp handsaw or PVC cutter and is securely joined by solvent cement.   Rigid, non-conducting PVC conduit is immune to almost all types of corrosive such as chemical, biological, or electrochemical encountered in either underground or aboveground systems.   Sizes : 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 75mm, 90mm, 110mm & 160mm. Meter Per Length : 4metres to 6metres   Borewell Casings & Screen The Casing and Screens are made from 100% virgin unplasticized polyvinyl chloride compound and are coloured blue. They are supplied with the male pipe thread at the spigot end and a female pipe thread at the socket end.Screens can be supplied with a plain surface.Slots are arranged horizontally to improve the mechanical strength of the screens and are designed to give open areas ranging from 6% to 12% depending on the size and slot width.   Screens Screens are available in a range of slot sizes and when selecting the type and diameter of the screen to be used the following should be borne in mind: - the permeability of the screens has to be higher than that of the sand or gravel layer directly next to the outer layer of the screen. - that slot width should be selected to permit the construction of a sand or gravel screen around the well screen during development. - that the screen does not corrode and that it can be regenerated by mechanical or chemical means without damage.   Ndugu Drinking Straws One of our core products since 1991,Ndugu drinking straws are electronically and hygienically manufactured to provide the real and natural taste of your drink all the time. Ndugu drinking straws are manufactured and packed in 2 categories: Plain and individually wrapped. They are supplied in small and big cartons of 12 and 24 packets respectively.
