Rangechem is a legally established pharmaceutical company that imports quality pharmaceutical products, wholesales and distributes branded products as well as generics and surgicals. It was established in 1999 as a profit making company limited by shares. The impetus for its formation was to bridge the gap between the importers and manufactures of both branded and generic drugs; and the medical institutions that were selling and prescribing drugs to the final consumers. The manufactures and the drug importers have stringent trading conditions of the minimum value and quantity to be ordered. This is further compounded by the fact that they have a limited variety of the drugs that they sell in the market.

At the time of acquisition of the company the trade was purely in Pharmaceuticals, which originated in Kisumu (a province in Western Kenya) as retail / wholesaler’s Dispensing chemists, which is still fully functional. In 1983, with the steady growth of business and with a view to expanding in agency business & cover the total Kenyan market, warehouses and offices were established in Nairobi. Nairobi being the capital of the country was a center for such business. Since then, till today, there has been no stopping or looking back. Due to the growing market demand and pressing need to excel in our service, we have now opened our Branch in Mombasa. We are happy to say that we have been appointed by 49 International Companies as their sole agents for Kenya. We have been entrusted with the challenging job of doing the Marketing & Distribution combined with Brand Promotion Besides this, to meet up with the market requirements. Apart from the above mentioned Human Medicines / Pharmaceutical sector, we are also catering to the veterinary sector with a wide range. Apart from Nairobi, we also have a strong distribution base for pharmaceuticals, surgical, medical equipment and hospital furniture in Kisumu as well as in Mombasa. With our widespread operation of coverage of outlets and distribution network spread all over the country, we are also proud to be the sub-distributors for many International Pharmaceutical companies as well as local manufacturers operating in Kenya. In order to justify full network of distribution and marketing throughout Kenya, we have appointed sub-distributors in all major towns and trading centers. We also are on the approved list of suppliers of a number of N.G.O.'s, Government procurement agencies and a number of Private Procurement Agents both within Kenya and Internationally. Over the years, we have developed a good relationship through committed services and ready availability of products, with all our customers and most others in the medical field. We also cater to tender business apart from supplying products on quotation basis to all major hospitals and institution where our business is very credible. We have been catering to the government, private institutions, parastatals, NGO's and all major hospitals and pharmacies in Kenya for the last 21 years. We have separate departments handling Sales & Marketing, Distribution & Dispatch, Finance, Imports, H.R., I.T., and Drug Registration & Regulatory Affairs. Each of our Departments has a team comprising of highly qualified and experienced professionals in the respective fields. We promote the products of our various suppliers through a current vibrant and enthusiastic team of 48 medical representatives apart from the marketing expatriates from the principal themselves. We have a good delivery system in each of our branches to deliver through our own Delivery vans accompanied by our own delivery persons to provide personalized service. For Orders received from certain remote customers, we have a very good tie-up with the leading courier and parcel service providers who ensure that our customers get the goods on time.

The business of Fine Chemicals Corporation was established in Cape Town, South Africa in 1962. The company operated initially as Petersen Chemicals for the purpose of manufacturing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's). The move to the current site took place in 1975. Initially, products including Codeine Phosphate, Morphine Sulphate and Paracetamol were targeted at the local South African market and in the mid 1980's a range of off patent generic API's were developed in-house. In 1991 Mr Mehboob Adam, a successful owner of 5 pharmacies, identified an opportunity in the wholesale pharmaceutical industry, created by the differential pricing structures of manufacturers. It was not long before Mr Adam found himself negotiating deals on bulk purchases from manufacturers, and then passing these price advantages on to his and a few friends' pharmacies. As demand from other pharmacies increased, Mr Adam found himself more and more involved in the wholesaling side of pharmacy, and in 1992 Kassbell Pharmaceuticals was formed with the name subsequently changing to Zenith Pharmaceutical Distributors in 1998. During July 2015 Iszipharm, a 100% black owned company, bought over the entire shares of Zenith Pharmaceutical Distributors. Zenith is now wholly owned by Iszipharm with Mr E Bhorat, Mr I Bhorat and Ms Z Hendricks as its shareholders and directors. All staff employed at Zenith are from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and have experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Zenith is licenced with the Department of Health and registered with the South African Pharmacy Council and Medicine Control Council of South Africa and complies with regulations set out by these statutory bodies. While Zenith previously focussed only on supplying ethicals, due to customer demand we have recently increased our surgical and front shop lines. Zenith supplies Pharmaceuticals to retail pharmacies, private hospitals, doctors and other registered healthcare professionals. We specialize in branded and generic medication. Zenith is the preferred supplier to the Melomed Private Hospital Group comprising of 4 hospitals and a private clinic in the Cape Town region - with a 5th hospital opening in December 2015. We are confident that this partnership will enhance our presence in the hospital industry. Zenith operates from its licenced premises in Athlone Industria. Being based in Cape Town, South Africa, our focus is primarily on servicing our 500+ customers based in the Western Cape. The Responsible Pharmacist is Mr Anvar Vasta, who is assisted by Ms Lamees Mohamed. The buying department comprises of dedicated ethical and surgical buyers under the management of the chief buyer Mr Haroon Saloojee, who is a qualified Pharmacist. Buyers ensure maintaining good stock levels and meeting the needs of our valued customers.
