Big Tree Brands is the first producer of baby cereal in Zambia using the Roller Dryer technology. The company started manufacturing in March 2010. Good hygiene practices are maintained during production to avoid microbiological contamination. Fruits Our range of fruits include Kenyan grown bananas, mangoes, avocados as well as pineapples and our prices are quite competitive and reflect the market conditions Nuts Every care is taken to ensure only good quality cashew and macademia nuts are purchased by our qualified buyers. Cereals French Beans from Kenya are proven to be low in calories with no saturated fats. They are equally high in antioxidants which provide  GROWING Our farming practices are grounded on the Global Good Agricultural Practices (GlobalGAP). GAP guarantee’s consumer safety, environmental conservation and social welfare. Before planting, we test our soils to ensure they have the right ingredients, use certified seeds, ensure the water we use is clean and free from harmful heavy metals. We use approved and recommended measures in pest and disease control to ensure our farms should be free of pests and diseases. PACKAGING The export produce is sorted at an audited packaging facility. We are committed to the HACCP system and the BRC Code of practice to ensure that the requirements for exporting safe, and quality produce are met and exceeded at all times. We have a fully established vegetable freezing line and a wide range of high quality tropical fruits, packed and processed in our custom built fruit processing facilities. Afrimac Nut Company Limited was incorporated in 2011 primarily to engage in agro-food processing and more particularly to exploit the opportunity that existed in the Kenyan macadamia nut market. We package our macadamia nuts in nitrogen-flushed and vacuum-sealed aluminium foils. This prolongs the shelf life of the product as well as reduces rancidity. The macadamia nuts are then packed in 11.34kg(25lb) cartons. At Afrimac, we also produce our own high quality macadamia oil. To many, macadamia oil is commonly described as “good oil” due to the fact that it is has high levels of monosaturated fats. Macadamia oil is used in both the cosmetic industry as well as the food industry. For cooking, macadamia oil is rich in flavor. This makes it perfect for salad dressings, frying, roasting and baking. Macadamia oil has a high smoking point and no cholesterol which is great for the health-conscious consumer. Due to its composition, macadamia oil is becoming a favorite in the cosmetic industry. It is often used in shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, lip balms, massage oil and many other ways. The company began with a modest processing facility in Thika, Kiambu county. Over the years, the company has grown and has relocated to a state of the art facility that is located in Maragua, Muranga County. The head offices are located in Parklands, Nairobi from which administration and logistics work is done. Our core business is the processing of macadamia nuts and macadamia oil to export markets.
