Auto Industrial Group (Pty) Ltd, headquartered in Kempton Park, South Africa, is an integrated provider of machining and assembly, ductile and grey iron castings and hot steel forgings of various automotive components. The Company's product portfolio includes a broad range of chassis and brake products, including brake discs, steering knuckles, brake drums, hubs, wheel carriers, differential housings, flywheels, pinions, side gears and complete corner modules. The head office and the machining facilities ("AIM") are located in Kempton Park, while the two cast iron foundries are located in Wadeville ("AIF") and Isando ("IF") respectively. The Company's forging plant ("Hubco") is also in Wadeville. All facilities are located in close proximity to each other, with a maximum distance of less than 30 km. Ebor Automotive Systems is an independent supplier of components to the South African motor industry, with a number of products exported globally by its original equipment manufacturing (OEM) customers. Built on the established reputation and strengths developed over the last 6 years, Ebor continues the tradition of high quality technical mouldings and safety-critical assemblies. Ebor is a fully black-empowered start-up company that is collectively owned by a highly experienced management team and staff funded by investment company High Street Capital. The business currently employs 140 trained factory workers and administrative personnel and is expanding rapidly with the addition of a new manufacturing facility in EAST LONDON. OEM Quality Based in the coastal automotive hub of Nelson Mandela Bay, Ebor counts Volkswagen SA, Mercedes Benz SA, Isuzu, Faurecia Interior Systems, Weidplas and Mahle among existing clients, with a number of new business projects already bringing other OEM customers on board. EBOR has identified the need to acquire a central material feeding system, which would meet the increasing demands of material distribution of plastic granulate. EBOR methodically planned the purchase and implementation of this state of the art system, engineered to meet the plant’s specific needs. Through the utilization of automated measurement and control, the MOTAN system has contributed vastly towards the Perseverance plant’s increase in operational efficiency and risk reduction, associated with the broad spectrum use of different materials. The Motan Metrolink serves as an integral component, within the system architecture. This hardware component is also the first of its kind to be installed on the African continent supporting EBOR’s innovative strategy. This technology offers the most advanced automated material selection and routing via an indexing system. This system services the autonomous material needs of all the Injection Moulding Machines within the Machine Hall 1 facility. Sourced out of Europe, the equipment was delivered in late August and subsequently installed and commissioned through-out the month of September 2017, by a global team. This deepening EBOR’s investment into enabling technical capabilities.

Brake Pads & Brake Discs The ATE brand is renowned for its premium quality brake pads and discs. All Alfred Teves Brake Systems (Pty) Ltd brake pad formulations are locally developed to deal with the specific driving conditions in South Africa (whilst conforming to global regulatory standards). Depending on the application, replacement clips are supplied with many brake pad sets. Less commonly known is the fact that Alfred Teves Brake Systems (Pty) Ltd also manufactures brake pads for Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV). The friction material formulation was developed in-house to meet local operating conditions and legal requirements (passing tests for the SABS VC8053 in 2008). During 2012 the product was approved to the stringent international e-Mark specification. ATE branded brake shoes for passenger vehicles and LCV’s are quickly gaining acceptance in the aftermarket. These are not re-bonded but rather manufactured with new components. Core returns are therefore something of the past! So are arguments about non-acceptance of damaged cores. On top of that, retailers no longer have the hassle of handling old and worn components. The greatest advantage to all concerned is the improved safety aspect of fitting a brand new component. Our Shoes also adhere to the VC8053 Standard and is approved by the SABS. These cylinders are of premium quality and adhere to the highest industry specifications. Our cylinders adhere to the Internationally recognised ISO6118: 2006 Standard.
