Dodhia Packaging Limited is one of the largest manufacturers of corrugated boxes in East Africa. From assisting in design through product development to volume production, DPL provides a comprehensive array of products and services. Dodhia Packaging Limited (DPL) was established in 1974. The company is located on Kampala road, Industrial Area. This company was established primarily to produce corrugated cardboard boxes.

Over the years, the company has steadily improved its volume, capability, quality range of products. From a paltry production of 350 Tones per month, the company can now produce up to 1200MT per month. This has been possible because of DPL's strategy of investing in high speed, latest technology machines.

A major step forward in technology was achieved by investing in a high speed Die Cutting Machine to cater for the increasing packaging need of horticulture, floriculture, fishing industries and trays. The other investment during the years has been the installation of three-printing machines; one of these combines 4 colors printing with on-line folder-gluer unit, previously a separate process.

The company employs a total of 229 employees which include 50 at both supervisory & management level. Building a strong workforce and retaining has always a challenging task. But for us, the experience has been rewarding.

Being an old company we have developed the strength of our technical staff through continuous improvement programs blended by recruitment of young professionals.

The Company purchased one second hand 650 tons injection moulding machine from Rest Assured Limited together with moulds for producing household items and crates for beverages. Operations were started from a rented warehouse. Having envisaged potential in this project, the company acquired a 5 acre plot on Lunga Lunga Road, Industrial Area, Nairobi and currently has about 500,000 sq.ft. of built up area. Raw Materials Most plastic based products are manufactured using polyproplene or high density polythyelene. The raw materials are mainly procured from Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Asia.
